In America...
i greet random strangers on the street or in shops and i very rarely get a kind response back- in Vanuatu i do the same and literally nine out of ten people minimum enthusiastically greet me straight back. the people here are the nicest out of any place ive been, always ready to lend a hand or even just chat.
the land is absolutely gorgeous, lush as anything and relatively untouched
to give an idea of the lifestyle- we took a fifteen minute treck through the jungle where there are sporadic gardens to get a head of lettuce and some bananas from a mans garden all for 300 vatu which is 3 dollars
funnily enough in this third world country about two months ago Digicel came in offering cell phones dirt cheap (-but charge 45 cents a minute) and everyone bought into the idea so in the poorest of spots you see people pulling out their cell phones
the sealife is great- we saw a huge seaturtle about six feet long all sorts of fish and dolphins. and i wake every morning to hundreds of different birds chirping
ah time is fllying, hope all is well in the quah and that everyone is haveing a great summer- experience is priceless! <3 miss you asll see you soon!!
